We combine thoughtful design, search strategy, content, technology and carefully selected AI tools to help businesses become clearer, more visible and easier to trust online.
KAIA Design is led by Kaja and Tomasz Bis — partners in life, creativity and business.
We are not a large agency with layers of account managers. Clients work directly with the people designing their website, shaping their content, studying their search visibility and planning what should happen next.
Our different strengths complement each other. Kaja works across Web Design & Development, E-commerce, UI/UX, Website Care & Management and visual communication, combining the creative and technical sides of digital projects. Tomasz focuses more deeply on SEO & Search Visibility, AI Search Visibility, digital strategy and technical growth.

Our studio roots date back to 2008, when Tomasz began independent creative and digital work through EART Design, later Evident Art.
The studio worked across graphic design, branding, web and digital projects at a time when business websites and online marketing looked very different from today.
Kaja began working with Tomasz through Evident Art in 2010, bringing her background in fine art, graphic design and hands-on creative production.
Their work increasingly combined visual thinking, web design, technology and practical business needs.
KAIA Design was established in 2011 by Kaja Bis and initially operated alongside Evident Art.
The two brands shared much of the same team, clients and project work. Over time, more of that work naturally moved under KAIA Design, gradually consolidating the studio’s activity under one name.
After moving from Brighton to Eastbourne, Kaja and Tomasz continued developing their web, creative and digital work while building new professional relationships across East Sussex.
Around this time began a long-standing collaboration with Turboworks, which grew from early website and design work into an ongoing partnership covering E-commerce, SEO & Search Visibility, Website Care & Management and technical support.
Changes in working life during the pandemic brought a renewed focus to KAIA Design, with Kaja and Tomasz developing the studio further and expanding its web, E-commerce, search and long-term digital services.
By this stage, KAIA Design had become the main studio identity, carrying forward the experience, relationships and creative foundations developed through the earlier Evident Art years.
This period also brought larger website, E-commerce and ongoing digital projects, including the long-term partnership with River ODP that continues today.
Today, KAIA Design brings together Web Design & Development, SEO & Search Visibility, AI search optimisation, e-commerce, Website Care & Management and Photography & Content.
We work extensively with WordPress, WooCommerce and PrestaShop, combining design, development, search visibility and ongoing technical support to create digital platforms that can be maintained, improved and expanded over time.
Many of our strongest client relationships have developed over years rather than individual projects. Our ongoing work with businesses such as Turboworks, River ODP and Art & Build reflects the trust, continuity and long-term approach that remain central to the studio.
KAIA is more than a name. It reflects the way we approach every project: understand first, use technology intelligently and turn ideas into something useful.
Good work starts with understanding the business, its customers, its market and the problems that need to be solved. We ask questions, research, listen and organise information before deciding how the final result should look.
AI can accelerate research, analysis, content development and repetitive processes, but it does not replace experience, judgement or original thinking. We use it as a practical tool — not as a shortcut to generic work.

Kaja founded KAIA Design in 2011 and leads its creative direction while working hands-on across Web Design & Development, E-commerce, UI/UX, WordPress, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Website Care & Management.
Her background in fine art and graphic design continues to shape the visual side of KAIA’s work, while years of practical experience with websites and E-commerce platforms bring a strong technical perspective to each project.
Kaja also works across branding, visual content and commercial product and project photography.
Tomasz works across SEO & Search Visibility, AI Search Visibility, digital strategy, Web Design & Development and E-commerce. He also looks after proposals, agreements, financial decisions and the strategic direction of client projects.
His work includes Technical SEO, Local SEO, E-commerce SEO, site architecture, structured content, schema markup, internal linking and entity clarity, alongside WordPress, WooCommerce and PrestaShop development and technical support.
He focuses on connecting search visibility, technology and commercial strategy to help businesses build stronger digital foundations and achieve long-term growth.
Piotr is a trusted development collaborator who supports KAIA Design on selected projects requiring additional programming, custom functionality and technical problem-solving.
His involvement allows us to bring in additional development expertise when a project requires it, while keeping strategy, design and day-to-day client communication directly within KAIA Design.
Every project is different, but our work follows a clear process that keeps decisions focused and turns ideas into practical results.

We will not recommend a larger website, more content or another service unless we believe it will genuinely help.
